Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Remind That handles information when you use the Android app. Remind That is designed as a local reminder tool and does not require an account.
Information We Collect
The app stores the information you enter for a reminder, including its title, optional note, scheduled time, repeat settings, completion state, and created or updated times. It also stores app preferences such as notification, snooze, exact-alarm, and theme settings. This information is stored on your device. The app does not request internet access and the inspected app code contains no account, analytics, crash-reporting, or advertising service.
How We Use Information
Reminder information is used on your device to display, schedule, repeat, snooze, complete, and organize reminders, and to populate the optional home-screen widget. Notification permission is used to alert you when a reminder is due. Exact-alarm access is used when you enable exact reminders, and boot-completed access lets the app restore reminder schedules after the device restarts.
Data Storage and Security
Reminder data and settings are stored locally using Android app storage. The app also creates JSON backup files in the device's Downloads/Remind That/backups folder and keeps up to three backups. These files may be accessible to you and to apps or services that you authorize to access that folder. The repository does not show application-level encryption for the local database or backup files, so you should protect access to your device and exported files.
Third-Party Services
No analytics, crash reporting, advertising, payment, or cloud-storage SDK is included in the inspected app project. Android and your device manufacturer provide system features used by the app, including notifications, alarms, widgets, and device backup. If your Android backup or file-sync settings copy app data or the Downloads folder, those copies are handled by the provider you chose under its own terms.
Data Retention and Deletion
Reminders remain on your device until you delete them, clear completed reminders, clear the app's storage, or uninstall the app, subject to any device backup copies. The app keeps the three newest automatic backup files; you can delete backup files from your Downloads folder.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
This policy may be updated when the app or its data practices change. The date at the top of this policy will be revised when changes are published. Review this page periodically for the latest version.
